FAQs
Will I turn orange?
No, you will not be orange! There are two reasons why you could get an orange tint from a spray tan:

-
The product becomes too saturated
-
The solution that is chosen is too dark for the client’s natural skin tone
These reasons are why we always CUSTOMIZE your tan to your skin tone & have a CONSULTATION before we apply any product to your skin in order to deliver the optimal results that will work for your unique skin and reach your tan goals.
What’s the difference between a Classic Tan and a Express Tan?
Classic Tan
Our traditional sunless tan that allows you to complete your first rinse within an 8-12 hour period
You should get the Classic Tan if:
-
You're having a low key day and can stay in dark loose fitting clothing for 8-12 hours
-
You're fine with sleeping in the solution before doing your first rinse
Express tan
Our rapid solution that allows you to complete your first rinse within a 2-4 hour period
You should get the Express Tan if:
-
You're a girl on the go and can't be lounging in loose clothing all day long
-
You have a morning appointment and are worried about smudging your tan throughout the day
-
You have an evening appointment and want to rinse off the bronzer before you get into bed so you don't get any on the sheets
As you can see, the decision to choose a Classic Tan over an Express Tan depends on when you book your appointment (in the morning or evening) as well as your personal preferences and schedule.
How long does the spray tan last?
Your tan will last between 5-10 days depending on your unique skin as well as how well you prep your skin before the appointment and how well you take care of you tan after your appointment. See our pre and post-tan instructions on how to keep a long-lasting tan!
What do I wear immediately after I get my tan?
You should change into loose dark clothing in order to prevent any smudging of your fresh tan. If you are going to be sleeping in your tan before your first rinse, make sure you wear a long sleeve shirt and long pants.
What do I wear during my appointment?
You can wear whatever makes you most comfortable! You should come with clean skin (no makeup, deodorant, lotion or perfumes) to ensure even coverage of product. We do have a bottoms policy which requires you to wear some sort of bottoms (g-string, thong, bikini bottoms). Most of clients will wear underwear or bikini bottoms with nothing on top to avoid tan lines, but it is always up to you and your level of comfort!
What should I use to exfoliate?
We recommend using an exfoliating mitt to best prep your skin for an even, flawless looking tan. Our recommended and favorite exfoliating mitt is available to purchase through Bronze Allure.
When do I shower?
If you get a Classic Tan, your first rinse (using just water) can be done after 8-12 hours. If you get an express tan, your first rinse can be done 2-4 hours after your appointment.
Is it going to rub off on my clothes/wedding dress?
No, once you complete your first rinse the cosmetic bronzer will be taken off of your skin. The DHA ingredient in the spray tan solution is what causes the tan color you see by reacting to the amino acids on the top layer of your skin. Therefore, once you’ve done your first shower your tan will not rub off on your clothes.
When should I book my appointment for an event?
We recommend booking your tan 2-3 days before any event to allow for full development of color.
How long does it take for my tan to fully develop?
For both our Classic and Express Tans, the full development time of color is 24 hours.
How much does it cost?
Our Classic Tan is priced at $65 and our Express Tan is priced at $75. We have varied pricing for group tans and packages, send us a message to inquire about those!

We are located in Michigan and travel to several different counties within West Michigan. We travel within 30 miles of the Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo Area. Our studio is located in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
How long does it take?

Should I get my nail and wax appointments done before or after my spray tan appointment?
Always before! We recommend getting your wax and nail appointments taken care of at least 24 hours before your spray tan appointment to avoid any wear on your tan from oils and exfoliation that will cause uneven blotchiness.

Can I get a spray tan if I am pregnant?
